Designed from the ground up as a grand tourer, the new Suzuki GSX-S1000GT aims to deliver a perfect blend of performance, agility, high-speed stability, pillion capability long-distance conformity and styling.

Engine specs

The 999 cc four-cylinder produces 152 PS and 106 Nm at 9,250 rpm. It is said to offer a powerful but well-metered power delivery. Compared to the engine in the GSX-S1000F, power has been increased in the low and mid-range. Suzuki is talking about a 2% increase.

The new exhaust system and electronically controlled throttle bodies also contribute to a balanced power delivery. The geometry of the airbox has also been changed. The diameter of the throttle chamber bodies has been reduced.

Suspension

The suspension elements have a wide range of settings to adapt the motorcycle to a wide variety of load conditions and to different areas of use such as country roads or highways.

Tires / Wheels

The six-spoke cast wheels were specially developed for the Suzuki GSX-S1000GT and covered with Dunlop Roadsport 2.

Braking is by radially mounted monobloc calipers from Brembo, which are allowed to bite into floating discs with a diameter of 310 mm.

Fairing optimized in the wind tunnel

Suzuki has optimized the fairing in the wind tunnel, adding a redesigned windshield and side winglets. This is intended to provide the best wind and weather protection, while also emphasizing the sporty appearance.

The look of the front was inspired by aircraft construction.

For longer stages

Even longer stages should not become uncomfortable on the motorcycle. The geometry was designed accordingly, high-quality seat pads were installed and the grab handles for the pillion were ergonomically shaped. The handlebar grips moved 14 mm closer to the rider, compared to the GSX-S1000F. The tapered handlebar has also been lengthened, resulting in a 23 mm wider grip position.

The volume of the integrated side cases also matches this. They are said to offer enough space for a long vacation trip for two. The tank is also adequately sized with a capacity of 19 liters.

The aluminum bridge frame is said to offer agile handling and also excellent road holding, which should be maintained even when riding with a high payload.

Equipment

The new Suzuki GSX-S1000GT is equipped with Suzuki Intelligent Ride System, which includes five-stage traction control, ride-by-wire, bidirectional quickshifter, cruise control, easy-start system and low-RPM assist.

Settings are made via the 6.5-inch full-color TFT display. It can also be paired with a smartphone via the mySPIN app.

Lighting relies on LED technology all around, which has made it possible to make the headlights in particular particularly light and compact.

Optional accessories

If you want to further tailor the GSX-S1000GT to your needs, you can fall back on a wide range of original accessories. Through 36 items, the look, utility, protection and comfort can be customized or enhanced.

Color options – availability

The new GT will be available in three color variants: Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Reflective Blue and Glass Sparkle Black.
