Exclusive design for touring and off-road riding
The Tiger 900 Alpine Edition is based on the road-focused GT Pro and features Snowdonia White and Sapphire Black paintwork with Aegean Blue accents. Striking elements such as the front fairing, tank end fairing, and radiator cowling consistently reflect the exclusive colors. The design is complemented by a luggage rack in Matt Phantom Black and Alpine graphics.
The Tiger 900 Desert Edition, based on the Tiger 900 Rally Pro, is aimed at off-road enthusiasts. It combines Urban Grey with Sapphire Black and Baja Orange. The front fairing, tank, and side panels reflect the off-road theme, while protective bars on the fuel tank provide additional robustness.
Similar color themes are used on the Tiger 1200: the Alpine Edition offers color combinations of Satin Crystal White, Matte Metallic Grey, and Caspian Blue or, alternatively, Ash Grey with Intense Orange. The Desert Edition of the 1200 is available in either Satin Granite with Triumph Performance Yellow or Crystal White & Red. All models feature edition logos with matching accent colors.
Technical basis and highlights
Both the Tiger 900 Alpine and Desert Edition continue to be powered by the familiar 888 cm³ three-cylinder engine. Maximum power is 108 hp (79.5 kW) at 9,500 rpm. Maximum torque is 90 Nm at 6,850 rpm. The Alpine Edition weighs 224 kg (approx. 494 lbs) and the Desert Edition weighs 231 kg (approx. 509 lbs). Both models comply with the Euro 5+ standard.
The Alpine Edition is equipped with a 45 mm upside-down fork from Marzocchi with 180 mm of travel, while the rear shock offers 170 mm of travel and is electronically adjustable. The Desert Edition features Showa components with 240 mm of travel at the front and 230 mm at the rear, both manually adjustable. Both models are equipped with Brembo Stylema brakes with two 320 mm discs at the front and a 255 mm disc at the rear.
Equipment and electronics
Standard features include a full-color 7-inch TFT instrument display with My Triumph Connectivity, TRIUMPH Shift Assist for clutchless shifting, and five (Alpine) or six (Desert) riding modes. The Desert Edition also gets an Off-Road Pro mode. Heated or low seats are available as options. The tire selection differs: Metzeler Tourance Next for the Alpine, Bridgestone Battlax Adventure for the Desert.
For the Tiger 1200 Alpine and Desert Editions, the technical basis remains unchanged with the 1,160 cm³ three-cylinder engine (147 hp/108 kW, approx. 145 hp, 129 Nm/95 lb-ft at corresponding rpm) and semi-active Showa suspension. New features include the standard blind spot detection system and heated rider and passenger seats. As with the 900, the models feature an Akrapovič muffler and edition-specific paintwork.
Accessories and maintenance
Over 50 original accessories are available for both model series, including trekker and expedition cases for touring riders. Maintenance intervals are every 10,000 km or 12 months, whichever comes first. The Tiger 900 comes with a four-year manufacturer’s warranty with no mileage limit, while the Tiger 1200 comes with a three-year warranty with unlimited mileage.
Prices and availability
The Tiger 900 Alpine Edition is available in Germany for €15,995 (approx. $17,100) and in Austria for €17,895 (approx. $19,150). The Desert Edition costs €16,995 (approx. $18,170) in Germany and €18,895 (approx. $20,230) in Austria. The Tiger 1200 Alpine and Desert Editions are priced above that; the 1200 Alpine Edition costs $21,895 (approx. €20,590), while the Desert Edition costs $22,995 (approx. €21,620). The models will be available at dealers from January 2026 (900) and February 2026 (Germany) respectively.
