Rumors are currently spreading that the race weekend at the Sepang International Circuit at the end of October could be cancelled. The reason for this is said to be the current COVID-19 situation in Asia, which is worrying the race organizers.
Even though an official statement or even a decision is still pending, there is talk about whether a second event could take place in Misano. Already last year a second event was held there.
Since the Malaysian Grand Prix is not scheduled until the end of October, the decision will probably take some time.
