Rumors of a new Honda ST125 Dax or Honda ST125 Trailsport, as it is called in the USA, have been around for a long time. Now Honda has made corresponding trademark applications.
Retro is currently totally in vogue, which also ensures that motorcycles are brought back to the market, whose production has long been discontinued. They get a fresh cell cure, new technology and a “new-retro” style.
As it looks now, Honda will now do the same with the ST125 Dax. Originally, the Dax came on the market in 1969. Until 2000, it was produced in various versions. In the meantime, the Dax is only offered by other companies as a license build.
As has now become known, Honda has had the trademark rights “ST125” protected in Europe and “Trailsport” in the USA, which points to the return of the small bikes. It can be assumed that it will be based on the Super Cup and powered by the 125cc single-cylinder engine, the same engine that also provides propulsion in the new Monkey and Grom.
