On 3 September 2026, Moto Guzzi inaugurated its rebuilt headquarters in Mandello del Lario on Lake Como. At the same time, the manufacturer presented the 105th Anniversary Edition. It is meant to bring two events together: the 105th birthday of the brand founded in 1921 and the fresh start in its new old home. Instead of historic liveries from the archive, the special models therefore pick up the colours and shapes of the new factory.
Which models are available as the 105th Anniversary Edition?
The 105th Anniversary Edition is offered for five variants from four model families: the Stelvio, the Stelvio PFF Rider Assistance Solution, the V100 Mandello, the V85 Strada and the V7 Stone. The line-up therefore ranges from the air-cooled classic to the adventure tourer with a radar system.
The V7 Stone is the retro model in classic Guzzi style with an air-cooled V-twin. It is also suitable for newcomers. The engine displaces 853 cubic centimetres and produces 67 hp (49 kW). Torque is 79 Nm (58 lb-ft) and the kerb weight is 218 kg (481 lbs).
The V85 Strada is the road-oriented variant of the V85 TT enduro. It runs cast aluminium wheels and road tyres. Here the 853 cc engine delivers 80 hp (59 kW) and 83 Nm (61 lb-ft). Ready to ride, it weighs 226 kg (498 lbs).
The V100 Mandello was the first model with the liquid-cooled V-twin and stands for a modern interpretation of sport touring. The 1,042 cubic centimetre engine produces 115 hp (85 kW) and delivers 105 Nm (77 lb-ft). Kerb weight is 233 kg (514 lbs).
As the second model, the Stelvio uses the same liquid-cooled V-twin with 115 hp (85 kW) and 105 Nm (77 lb-ft). The adventure tourer weighs 246 kg (542 lbs) ready to ride. The Stelvio PFF Rider Assistance Solution adds the radar-based rider assistance system developed by Piaggio Fast Forward (PFF) in Boston.
Moto Guzzi does not mention any technical changes compared with the regular models. The focus of the special edition is therefore on the design.
What does the Moto Guzzi 105th Anniversary Edition look like?
All anniversary models wear a grey paint scheme with a glossy pearlescent finish, combined with yellow contrast details. According to the manufacturer, the shade picks up the industrial and metallic appearance of the new factory in Mandello del Lario.
The most striking feature is a special anniversary graphic that runs vertically on both sides of the tank. Where the familiar Moto Guzzi eagle usually sits, the special edition carries the number 105. The same motif is repeated on the rear wheel rim. The seat has been adapted for the edition as well. It shows a stylised eagle and is stitched with yellow contrast seams.
The yellow elements are also said to be derived from surfaces at the new site. In its official announcement, Moto Guzzi describes the paint as “una tonalità moderna che evoca un linguaggio industriale, metallico e autentico” – a modern shade that speaks an industrial, metallic and authentic language.
Why is the edition based on the new factory in Mandello?
The special edition is deliberately tied to the opening of the new headquarters. Moto Guzzi does not want the anniversary to be seen only as a look back, but as the start of a new chapter at the same site where motorcycles have been built since 1921.
The complex was designed by the American architect Greg Lynn. After almost five years of construction and an investment of more than 50 million euros (around 58 million US dollars), it comprises, alongside the new factory, a 3,000 square metre museum plus more than 4,200 square metres of visitor areas with a Motoplex store, café, auditorium and event spaces. The museum shows more than 160 restored motorcycles, from the first prototype “G.P.” to the race machines that won a total of 14 Grand Prix world championship titles. Production capacity rises to more than 30,000 vehicles per year.
It is precisely this architecture that provides the template for the special models. The press release says of the new site: “la casa della nuova Moto Guzzi che ci accoglierà per i prossimi 105 anni” – the home of the new Moto Guzzi that will welcome us for the next 105 years. Piaggio boss Michele Colaninno says that the factory opens a new chapter in the history of the brand. The red gate on Via Parodi, the entrance for workers, engineers and riders since 1921, is being retained.
The presentation also fell within the Moto Guzzi World Days, the brand’s annual gathering in Mandello del Lario, which takes place from 3 to 6 September 2026 and this year also accompanies the opening of the factory.
When and for how long is the 105th Anniversary Edition available?
The special models reach dealers from October 2026 and remain in the range exclusively until the end of 2027. That amounts to a window of around 15 months.
The announcement makes no mention of a limited production run. The limitation therefore comes from the time frame rather than a fixed number of units. Even so, Moto Guzzi calls the models a special edition that is intended to become a sought-after object for Guzzisti and collectors around the world. Whether that expectation will be fulfilled cannot be judged at present.
How much does the Moto Guzzi 105th Anniversary Edition cost?
Moto Guzzi has not yet announced prices for the 105th Anniversary Edition. The current base prices of the standard models serve as a guide.
The V7 Stone starts at 9,600 euros (around 11,150 US dollars), the V85 Strada at 12,600 euros (around 14,630 US dollars). The V100 Mandello costs from 15,800 euros (around 18,350 US dollars), the Stelvio from 16,600 euros (around 19,280 US dollars). A surcharge for the special paint and the revised seat is likely, but has not been confirmed by the manufacturer.
The 105th Anniversary Edition thus joins the new motorcycles for the 2027 model year, but brings no new technology, instead offering a time-limited special specification for existing model families.
