Fundamentally, however, the approach makes sense: familiar controls can significantly lower the barrier to entry for riders switching from combustion dirtbikes.

Segway leverages the brand’s electronics background to give the Xaber 300 an unusually comprehensive feature set. Standard equipment includes a selective traction control system (TCS) with various terrain settings that can also be completely deactivated, a hill-hold function, regenerative braking, a one-button reverse gear, and the ability to create multiple rider profiles. Everything is controlled via a 2.4-inch TFT color display with GPS, 4G connectivity, and IoT integration.
Additional features are planned via over-the-air updates.
