Lischka is not the first senior executive to move from Munich to Mattighofen — he is already the fourth. Stephan Reiff has been Chief Commercial Officer at KTM since April 2026, responsible for marketing and sales. At BMW Motorrad, he headed the customer, brand, and sales division from July 2022 to the end of 2025.

Klaus Allisat assumed the position of Vice President Sales Europe at KTM effective May 4, 2026. His background is noteworthy: from September 2010, he led Husqvarna Motorcycles, which at the time was under BMW management before the brand later became part of the KTM portfolio. Johann von Balluseck has been Vice President Sales Rest of World since May 2026, responsible for sales outside Europe. The publicly listed parent company Bajaj Mobility AG will continue to be led by Neumeister and Preining.

The appointment comes during a phase of profound changes. Stefan Pierer stepped down from his board mandate in March 2025, after which Neumeister assumed sole operational leadership. In November 2025, Bajaj completed the acquisition of a controlling stake, and in the process, the former Pierer Mobility AG was renamed Bajaj Mobility AG. From his time as head of development, he is familiar with the new models planned from Munich for the coming years. At the same time, the overlap between the BMW program and the segments in which KTM now also competes is likely to be considerable. BMW had recently held back in the off-road segment, with the BMW G 450 X being its last decidedly off-road-oriented venture.
