- Tiger 1200: unveiling on 27 October 2026, revised triple with more power
- Street Triple 798: technical data on 17 November 2026, new engine derived from Moto2 development
- Tiger 900: details on 15 December 2026, next-generation connectivity as standard
Triumph kicked things off on 6 October 2026 with the Bonneville T40 and the T40 Black. The two retro models with the 400 cc single from the TR series have already been fully revealed. At the same time, the British manufacturer released a teaser video and first images of three more models that are due before the end of the year. There are no technical specifications for them yet. However, Triumph is already revealing which direction it is taking with engine, chassis and equipment. For two of the three models, these statements only partly match what was previously known about the successors. Together, the four motorcycles form the core of Triumph’s new models for the 2027 model year.

Which new Triumph models are coming by the end of 2026?
Between October and December 2026, Triumph is presenting four new motorcycles: the Bonneville T40, the Tiger 1200, the Street Triple 798 and the Tiger 900. Each model gets its own unveiling date.
The Bonneville T40 is followed by the Tiger 1200 on 27 October. On 17 November, Triumph will present the technical data of the Street Triple 798, and on 15 December the Tiger 900 completes the line-up. The manufacturer is deliberately spreading its new models over three months instead of putting everything on a single trade show date.
Even so, the big shows still play a role. According to Triumph, the Tiger 1200 and the Street Triple 798 will be on display at EICMA in Milan and at Motorcycle Live in Birmingham. The German subsidiary even says that all four new models are to be shown there.
Nick Bell, Chief Marketing Officer at Triumph, puts the schedule into context: “Over the next three months, we will be unveiling four important new models, starting today with the new Bonneville T40. We are really excited to give riders a first glimpse of what is to come, and over the coming weeks we will reveal all the details of each model.”
The model offensive starts from a strong position. According to the company, Triumph sold 141,683 motorcycles worldwide through 950 dealers in 68 countries in the financial year from July 2024 to June 2025.
What is changing on the new Triumph Tiger 1200?
The new Tiger 1200 gets a revised triple which, according to Triumph, offers more power and improved refinement. It is joined by modern rider technology and, according to the manufacturer, the most sophisticated chassis ever fitted to a Triumph motorcycle.
The first images already show a clearly changed look. They show a Rally Explorer version, the off-road-oriented variant of the big adventure bike. This does not come as a complete surprise. A modified model had already appeared at the beginning of September, when Dakar winner Sam Sunderland set off from London on 5 September 2026 on his world record attempt around the globe. His photos from the start showed new LED headlights, a redesigned beak, a different screen and modified tail lights. A sensor above the front also pointed to a front radar. Such a system is the basis for adaptive cruise control. The current Tiger 1200 only uses a rear radar that monitors the blind spot. Triumph declined to comment at the time and has still not confirmed whether a front radar is coming.
More than a facelift
After Sunderland’s start photos, it still looked as if the engine and chassis would remain unchanged. That assessment is now outdated. Triumph is explicitly announcing changes to the engine and a new chassis package.
For comparison: the current Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer is powered by an inline triple with a displacement of 1,160 cc. It produces 150 hp (110 kW) and delivers 130 Nm (96 lb-ft). Ready to ride and with a full 30-litre tank, it weighs 262 kg (577 lbs). For the new model, Triumph talks about a 1,200 cc triple. Whether the displacement actually changes or whether this simply refers to the familiar model designation remains open until 27 October.

Which engine powers the Triumph Street Triple 798?
The Street Triple 798 gets a new 798 cc triple that Triumph developed for the 2027 Moto2 World Championship. According to the manufacturer, the motorcycle is even more consistently focused on sporting performance than previous Street Triple models.
Since the 2019 season, Triumph has been the sole engine supplier for Moto2. So far, these have been 765 cc triples based on the Street Triple RS powertrain. The contract with Dorna runs until 2029. In August, Triumph announced a new race engine for 2027. It is said to offer around six percent more peak power, be two kilograms lighter and have a new cylinder head. This time, development ran the other way round compared to 2019: the race engine came first, with the production motorcycle following afterwards.
Why the displacement is surprising
With 798 cc, the new Street Triple lands exactly on the displacement that Triumph already uses in the Trident 800 and the Tiger Sport 800. That is remarkable, because Steve Sargent, Chief Product Officer at Triumph, had sent different signals in August.
At the time, he stated that the Moto2 engine is “categorically not the Tiger Sport 800 engine. It’s a completely different set-up.” On displacement, he said it was above 765 cc, but not 800 cc, and below the 850 cc of MotoGP. On paper, however, the two engines now have the same displacement. Triumph has not yet explained how they differ technically.
A hint of the model change had already emerged in the summer. According to media reports, only the Street Triple 765 RX with the previous engine was certified for the 2027 model year, while there was no approval for the other variants. The 765 RX produces 130 hp (95.6 kW) at 12,000 rpm and 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) at 9,500 rpm. Whether it will remain in the range alongside the Street Triple 798 is open.
What is known about the new Triumph Tiger 900?
The new Tiger 900 gets a more powerful and improved engine, a revised chassis and enhanced rider technology. New is a next-generation connectivity solution that is to be fitted as standard.
Triumph is not yet giving any further details. The full technical specifications will follow on 15 December 2026. This makes the Tiger 900 the last model in the series. In Triumph’s adventure range, it sits between the Tiger Sport models with 660 and 800 cc and the Tiger 1200 family. With the Tiger 900 and Tiger 1200, Triumph is renewing both of its big adventure bikes within two months.

When will Triumph’s 2027 new models arrive at dealers?
So far, a market launch date has only been given for the Bonneville T40 and the T40 Black. They are due to arrive at dealers in spring 2027, and Triumph plans to announce prices in early 2027.
The T40 brings the Bonneville name into the 400 class for the first time. Its 398 cc single produces 32 hp (23.5 kW) at 7,000 rpm and 36 Nm (26.6 lb-ft) at 5,000 rpm. This makes it A2 licence compliant as standard. For the Tiger 1200, Street Triple 798 and Tiger 900, Triumph has not yet announced prices or delivery dates. These details are likely to follow with each official unveiling. In Germany and Austria, Triumph grants a four-year manufacturer warranty with unlimited mileage on newly registered motorcycles at participating dealers.
