The next generation of the BMW S 1000 RR has been photographed as a prototype at the Nordschleife. It follows the design language of the 2025 Concept RR with large winglets, slim multi-part headlights and a big central air intake. Visible details include an electronically controlled Marzocchi fork with gold-anodised stanchions, the new Brembo Hypure calipers, a rear M brake caliper mounted below the swingarm, a new frame and a new switchgear unit on the left clip-on with plus and minus buttons. A power output of 215 hp (158 kW) has been leaked. Production is said to start in May 2027 with deliveries in summer 2027. None of this has been confirmed by BMW.

All-new generation. The bodywork follows the 2025 Concept RR with large winglets, slim multi-part headlights and a big central air intake. Visible on the prototype: an electronically controlled Marzocchi fork, the new Brembo Hypure calipers, a rear M brake caliper mounted below the swingarm, a new frame, a carbon front fender, a tablet-format TFT display and new switchgear on the left clip-on with plus and minus buttons for adjusting the rider aids on the move. The external quickshifter module is missing from the shift linkage. A power output of 215 hp (158 kW) has been leaked, against 210 hp (154 kW) for the 2027 model year.
